1948 BUICK SPECIAL CUSTOM C-704 This stunning 1948 Buick Special,
otherwise known as a Model 46-S, has been restored to beautiful
condition with numerous custom touches. It is a pre-war B-body that
is considered a 2-Door Sedanette. The top has been chopped, and the
car has been painted in a beautiful two-tone maroon and silver
finish. An exterior sun visor and exterior spot lights have been
added to complete the custom look. The interior has been fully
upholstered in a matching beautiful cloth color scheme of maroon
with silver colored inserts. The headliner and trunk have also been
re-done to match the eye-catching color scheme. Underneath the
classic double side-opening hood, sits a GM 350ci V-8 engine. Mated
to an TH400 automatic transmission, this Buick has plenty of power
to cruise down the road with ease. Fuel management is handled by an
Edelbrock Performer 4-barrel carburetor, sitting atop a matching
Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. An aluminum radiator has been
installed with an additional auxiliary radiator and electric fan,
so overheating will not be a problem. It does have power steering
and power brakes (Front: disc; Rear: drum). Independent front
suspension with an added sway bar give this car more control over
the road. Not to mention, it sits on an airbag suspension system
for added versatility/comfort or to drop it to the ground at a car
show. Although this car is a custom, it retains an original stance
with whitewall tires, original style hubcaps, and rear wheel
skirts. Some custom touches and creature comforts include: billet
steering wheel and column, A/C, heater, power windows, power door
locks, 8-way adjustable power seats (driver & passenger), and an
updated instrument panel w/ Dolphin gauges. The conversion to a 12V
charging system has already been completed, which makes working on
the electrical system a breeze. This beautiful Buick is sure to
