Body off frame restored. Has a tall stack of restoration receipts
and CDs with photos. Has Pontiac Historical documentation too. Very
desirable factory colors, #s match 4-speed, upgraded to a ram air
400 motor. From a Pontiac collector. This is an exceptionally clean
car with very desirable features.
EXTERIOR: Its a looker! The 1969 has great lines and this one is
decked out with some good stuff. It is a factory code 72 Carousel
red (I know, it looks orange but this is correct). It has ram air
hood with tachometer, rear spoiler and rally ll wheels. The body
was stripped to bare metal and they found the body was excellent
and only needed minimal repair. Every square inch is laser
straight, all the panels fit really nicely including the nose
section. The paint is polished out like a mirror, it even feels
slick to the touch. Jambs are neatly painted. Bumpers were
rechromed. New grills, headlight bezels, rocker moldings and wheel
well moldings. All the weatherstrips were replaced. New windshield,
stainless trim is polished. 14x7 Rally wheels are restored, has
correct lug nuts and center caps. Black convertible top and pads
were replaced.
INTERIOR: Has a deluxe interior that has been restored. New
upholstery, cushions, dash pad, door panels, carpet. The instrument
bezel was undamaged, it was sent out and replated. Original am
radio works. Has new seat belts. Original 4-speed console is in
great shape. The deluxe interior included upgraded upholstery,
molded door panels, wood grain trim and stainless trim on the
pedals. There is a gauge cluster neatly added under the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a period correct 400 coded for a manual
trans. Has #16 heads, ram air exhaust manifolds and quadrajet carb.
It has a complete and functional ram air system. Upgraded Pertronix
electronic ignition system. Also upgraded aluminum radiator, uses
stock fan and shroud. Has power steering and a new power brake
system.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk is complete. Has new rubber mat,
weatherstrip and well liner. The spare is a matching restored rally
ll wheel on a matching Cooper tire. Has complete jack assembly and
the "shaker" cans. All clean metal painted spatter finish. Trunk
lid and jamb are painted slick body color.
UNDERSIDE: Super dry, clean original floors. Where the original
undercoat has flaked off you will see pristine metal. The rockers,
rear frame rails are clean. The subframe was removed, stripped and
painted. Before it was reinstalled the complete front suspension
was replaced, new body bushings. Has upgraded Hotchkis front and
rear sway bars and Koni shocks all the way around. New brake system
with disc conversion in front. New lines, e-brake assembly is
complete. Bottom of the motor is spotless, has high torque starter.
M-20 Muncie 4-speed trans is vin # matched to the car. Original
3.23 rear end. It was rebuilt, has a new clutch. Great sounding
Flowmaster exhaust system with 2 1/2 inch pipe.
This is a sharp looking, strong running convertible from a Pontiac
collector. It was a clean car that has been thoroughly restored.
