Vehicle Description
Even though the Range Rover/Land Rover County or "Classic" as it is
most commonly called has been around since 1970, we here in the US
have not seen them readily available since the mid-1980's due to
strict emissions and safety standards and lack of mass production
needed for US markets. However, when they did become mainstream
here in the US, they were an instant hit among the upper echelon.
Never mind their off road capabilities which were nearly unmatched,
these SUV's were being bought and driven by wealthy suburbanites.
They had a lot of things going for them that had not been used
before like using lightweight aluminum for the body work that
proved to be beneficial in the Salty Mid-West. This particular
Rover however did not have to worry about harsh Mid-West winters
since it spent most of its lift in California and the Carolinas not
making its way to Michigan until 2012. This nice color combination
Rover had a major service performed at just over 85,000 miles that
included full fluid flush including fuel system, cooling system and
all oils. This also included drive belts and transmission service.
Since then it has had routine maintenance and also a complete front
and rear brake job with pads, rotors and calipers earlier this
year. Although there are some cosmetic items and a few electrical
issues including slow windows and moon roof issues, this is still a
very solid platform that starts perfectly, shifts, brakes and goes
down the road exactly how it should.
