Vehicle Description
Here's some true Pontiac excitement. There are few things in the
collector car world that generate more excitement than a
low-mileage all-original car. Finding one is a rare and treasured
moment. One big reason is that there's no mystery about what
engine, transmission or other components the car has when they're
the ones it was born with. Even with just just 28,361 miles, this
1967 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible defies its age. The body panels
and bumpers are straight and true, and the interior transports you
back to the sixties. The seats, wood grain dash, and center console
are unfaded, uncracked, and unreal! When you take the wheel, you
get the full unfettered experience. One of the staples of the
American car scene in the 60's was the full size car. None
represented that uniquely American segment better than the Pontiac
Grand Prix. A convertible model meant the ultimate in style and
luxury. Such a car usually received better treatment than the
family hauler. It's quite obvious that this GP was under the care
of a meticulous owner who knew a thing or two about maintenance.
The original 400 cubic inch V8 provides plenty of low end torque
for that big-car feel. It has a chrome air cleaner on top with a
big filter to gulp lots of air. The engine also has chrome valve
covers. Great, but didn't we say this beauty was all-original? Fear
not. Just look in the trunk. Carefully preserved in a heavy plastic
bag are the precious originals. This giant Grand Prix trunk is full
of hidden treasure. You'll also find a covered spare tire, extra
floor mats, and a beautiful pair of extra wheel covers. They're
like new! Put 'em on when it's time for a big show. A gorgeous
woodgrain center console separates the bucket seats. It has the
original floor shifter too. The dashboard and gauges on this car
are simply perfect. In the glove box are -- as you by now almost
expect on this exemplary automobile -- the original owner's manual,
and other goodies that came with the car including the original
instruction manual for operating the top. And oh yes, the top and
boot are pristine. Then, just when you think you've had the full
time warp experience, you look down and there they are. A set of
four Montgomery Ward H78-14 Wide Belted tires, complete with twin
white stripes. This style is period correct practically down to the
minute! Fender skirts complete the look. This is wide tracking at
its best. A 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible. Not modified. Not
restored. Not messed with. Just 400 cubic inches of pure Pontiac
power for you to enjoy well into the future.
