1967 CHEVELLE ''RESTO-MOD"
We just acquired this beautiful 1967 Chevelle from a guy who we
have done a fair amount of business with who builds some really
nice 1967 Chevelle's. We have bought and sold them all but this one
is his MASTERPIECE !!
This Chevelle was originally restored in 2011 and was a
''Frame-off'' restoration built as a SS big block clone. He wanted
a car that he didn't have to completely restore and only wanted to
concentrate on the drive train. Once he found this car
heimmediately went to work pulling out the drive train with a plan
to replace it with some sort of late model ''LS'' power. He decided
to have ''MARTY BROWN RACING'' a local and very reputable machine
shop take a cast iron 6.0L block and bore and stroke it to 408c.i.
It was built using some of the best internals money could buy. Then
another local shop that deals primarily in ''LS'' power
''PERFORMANCE SPECIALTIES INC." assembled the top end using worked
''LS-3'' heads and a custom ground camshaft. They also installed
upgraded trunions and lifters then topped it off with big injectors
and a ''ZL1''super-charger and inter-cooler which also was upgraded
with a solid isolator. Lots of other goodies went into this power
plant and it alldyno'd out at 597 RWHP !! We have all the receipts
and dyno sheets to back it up!!He then went with a 4L80E automatic
overdrive transmission that was also professionally built to handle
some serious horsepower and backed it all up with a 9'' Ford rear
custom built by ''SPRAKER RACING" It has a DETROIT LOCKER and 3:25
gears. Some other really cool features are 4 wheel disc brakes,
power steering, UMI front and rear sway bars, KYB shocks, Tanks
fuel system with a Nick Williams throttle body, Dirty Dingo
Motorsport engine brackets and pulleys, Speed Engineering stainless
steel headers with Magnaflows stainless steel mufflers & exhaust,
Champion aluminum radiator w/ dual LS-1 cooling fans, a custom made
inter-cooler pump & reservoir, new 18'&rsq
