Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1997 5 Speed Honda Prelude which is in wonderful original unrestored condition and priced to sell. This Prelude has only been owned by one family with the original owner having it from new until he sold it this year in 2019. This Prelude is like new in every way and only has 30,966 Actual Miles as seen on the included carfax and Ohio title stating the miles as actual. Very importantly there is absolutely no rust or indication of rust anywhere around the car. This Prelude features spectacular original Green Pearl paint, a fantastic Tan/Black original interior, the original factory drive line which has been properly maintained from new, a Factory 5 Speed manual transmission, and the dealer books and manuals. This Prelude has no visible rust on the body and no bubbling paint, and has great lines and gaps. The underside looks new and is in factory new condition. There are no rust concerns anywhere on the frame, floors, or rockers. This Prelude is finished in the beautiful and desirable factory color combinations of Green over Tan/Black interior as verified on the factory trim label.
Exterior
The Green exterior is in unrestored fantastic condition. This Prelude features all original sheet metal with no patches or repairs and excellent original Green factory paint. Everything is original on the exterior including all trim, weather stripping, body moldings, glass, bumpers, etc. and all are in excellent condition. The paint is in superb condition and has been very well maintained and has an excellent gloss and has a very smooth like glass feel. There are no signs of visible rust anywhere underneath on this car and both bumpers are in great condition. The tires have excellent tread and are like new and were recently changed, see receipt, and the original wheels are in excellent condition. All weather stripping and window seals are in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original spare tire, and the original correct tool kit.
Interior
The Tan/Black cloth interior of this Prelude is all original and in excellent overall condition. The original seat covers are in like new condition with no excessive wear or rips. These are not replacements but factory original covers. The carpet is original and near perfect with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in like new condition with no cracks or fading. The original stereo works well and sounds good. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great shape and not sagging at all. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The stereo, wipers, heater, rear defrost, horn, cigarette lighter, clock, and blower motor all work. Everything checked on this car works as it should. AC works properly and blows cold. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever, and all ash trays are very clean. A prestige security alarm was added when new in April of 1997 and still works as it should on this Prelude and comes with a working key fob.
Mechanical
This Prelude is in exceptional mechanical condition with recent maintenance. This Prelude has only had one real owner from new until this summer in 2019 and has been meticulously maintained from new with annual service performed every year since new. Miles are Actual and documented on the included carfax and Ohio title stating miles as actual. This Prelude has been properly maintained and has had recent maintenance including: new tires, new spark plugs, new distributor cap and rotor, PCV valve changed, and a recent oil change. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it does not run hot, it rides tight, and is always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Prelude is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car and it idles perfectly. It starts right away every time and runs well. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
