Vehicle Description
The Coronet was a full size car from Dodge and what started off in
the mid-50's as the lowest trim line available eventually became
the company's premier line and then eventually transferred to
Dodge's mid-size entry. The top-of-the line model was the 500 and
was only offered in a two-door or convertible.
The 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible offered here is powered by
its 318 v8 paired with an automatic transmission. The car runs and
shifts as it should and goes down the road smoothly. The car has
been owned by the same owner since 2004. According to the owner the
engine has been rebuilt although we do not have any receipts to
support this. The car is not numbers matching and the engine came
out of a different 1965 donor car they had. It is estimated by the
consignor to have roughly 5,000 miles since the rebuild. The car
spent much of its life in California and Texas. The car shows some
age cosmetically but overall still presents well. The interior has
a rips in the seats and some of the chrome shows pitting. Other
highlights include power steering, owners manual, AM radio, bucket
seats and center console. It rides P215/75 tires mounted on 14
steel wheels.
