Vehicle Description
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this exquisitely restored 1975
International Harvester Scout II. Finished in copper metallic with
a dark grey hard top and a matte black rallye stripe, paint quality
is excellent over a straight and rust-free body. Optioned with a
fuel-injected 345 ci V8, four-speed manual transmission, power
steering and power disc brakes. Mickey Thompson 17-inch wheels are
wearing new BF Goodrich mud terrain tires. LED headlights look
great and provide excellent night driving visibility. This is one
of the sharpest Scouts we've had in a while and it certainly never
fails to turn heads.
The interior is finished in a custom tartan plaid upholstery on
original early-style Scout bucket seats (rear bench) plus matching
door panels and padded armrest on the locking center console. Roll
bar is fitted with three-point seat belts plus a high-end Memphis
soundbar (audio quality is excellent and far better than what you
typically get in Scout). A wood Grant steering wheel is a nice
finishing touch. All of the gauges, lights, indicators, etc. are
working as they should; interior lights have been upgraded to LED.
Interior floors have been rhino-lined, and there's a carpet liner
in the rear cargo area.
Under the hood is a recently rebuilt 345 cubic inch V8 mated to a
four-speed manual transmission. The engine is running FiTech fuel
injection plus Pertronix electronic ignition; it runs exceptionally
well and makes more power than we're used to seeing out of one of
these IH V8s. New clutch, recent brake job, new heavy-duty
alternator, recent belts, hoses and tune-up items. All service is
up-to-date and we are not aware of any mechanical needs.
If you're looking for a turn-key truck with a great look and just
the right upgrades (but at lower cost than an LS swap), this one
should be on your short list. For more information about this 1975
