Prior to a slight redesign in 1964, the 1963 Chevrolet full-size
Impala line-up was already beginning to take the shape of the
future. Offered as a no-frills, basic option to cost-conscious
buyers, the Biscayne found its niche in the market. While it may
have been a normal car back in the day, this 1963 Chevrolet
Biscayne is sure to get some extra looks these days! It hasn't been
cloned to a higher-trim model, and has simply been restored to be
nothing more than what it is...sort of. Over 50 years later and
today the Biscayne sits as good as it did when it rolled off the
assembly line thanks to a previous restoration, a 350 small block,
and a lot of pride of ownership.
While a variety of engine and transmission options were available
for the Biscayne in 1963, most were sold with options like the
inline six-cylinder engine and the 3-speed column-shifted manual
transmission. When this car was done up, a 350 V8 and TH350 3-speed
automatic transmission were opted for, both as a power increasing
choice as well as making this car very drivable. Everything looks
clean under the hood, while power steering and power brakes add
confidence for optimal road control.
The teal blue cloth/vinyl interior is basic, but fitting for the
theme of this car. The interior accents the white exterior very
nicely. The paint is a few years old, and shows a couple of
touchups here and there, but just signs of typical use. There may
be some minor defects here and there, but nothing to be too
concerned about with a car built to be driven. Biscayne logos are
in place as they should be; no Impala upbadging here! This is a
driver's car, built to be used and enjoyed.
Everywhere you look points to a restoration, whether its the fully
detailed engine bay, or the gorgeous teal interior. Don't miss your
chance to own this classic Biscayne! You're not likely to park next
to another one at a show. Call today!
