This second-generation Riviera is a beautiful car, similar in
design to the attractive, first generation Riviera. Sleek lines,
curves in the right places, just the right amount of chrome trim,
and a luxurious, modern interior. This car has styling cues and
features of European GT cars of the day. Adding credence to this
car are a stack of receipts, an Original Window sticker, and
Protect-O-Plate. This sleek car rolled off the assembly line
finished in Arctic White. Recently it was treated to a slightly
more modern paint treatment - white pearl metallic. Hideaway
headlights and thin horizontal tail lights help to keep the look of
the car clean and simple. Much of the trim looks to be original and
does show some age, but for a car sold new 51 years ago, this
Riviera looks great. 17 Rally wheels have been added to give a
sportier look to this otherwise handsome car. The interior is
finished in the factory correct Blue Vinyl trim with wood and
aluminum accents. The horseshoe shaped gear selector sits in the
optional, 'full length' wood trimmed center console, and bright
aluminum trim mounted horizontally along the length of the lower
dashboard adds some contrast to an otherwise blue interior. Blue
bucket seats, center console ignition switch, tilt steering wheel,
three point seatbelts were just a few of the interior highlights of
this '68 Riviera. Another similarity of the European GT cars of the
time is the high horsepower engine under the hood. Although the 360
horsepower 430ci V8 is mated to a recently rebuilt automatic
transmission rather than a notchy manual transmission like a GT car
from overseas, this car is a pleasure to drive and has plenty of
power underfoot. Air conditioning, power brakes, and power steering
are other handy options found on this car. This sleek, American
luxury coupe is turn key and ready for a new garage! Get the look
and power of the European GT cars of the late '60's and early '70's
in a much cheaper package with this awesome Riviera. Be sure to
