This beautiful 1964 Dodge Polara Custom is just a really cool classic car that runs and drives as good as it looks.  It was completely restored and has been well sorted out since completion.  As the VIN number indicates it was built in Newark, DE as a 1964 Dodge Polara 8 cylinder.  As the fender tag indicates it was a 2-door Polara that was white with black bench interior.  From the information gathered this car was completely restored 10 years ago by a gentleman in Georgia.  It was a very original car prior to the restoration.  During the restoration the decision was made to change the color from white to red which looks great.   Once the restoration was completed it was sold to a gentleman in Utah where it remained until now.  The exterior body is very nice all the way around.  The red paint looks beautiful and sporty on this body style.  The paint is very nice and has recently been detailed.  The side molding and rear panel were painted satin black.  The car is dressed with a ton of trim which is all in very nice condition.  The front windshield was replaced new.  All of the remaining glass is in nice original condition with the factory stamps.  The chrome dual mirrors, chrome front bumper and chrome rear bumper look very nice.  It has a Commando V8 emblem on the rear trunk lid.  The car sits on new Crager SS chrome 14” wheels with Stinger Radial GTS 225-70-14 tires.  The exterior is complemented with a nicely restored black interior.   This interior is spacious and comfortable with the bench seat.  It has a white headliner and sun visors.  The dash, dash trim, door panels, door panel hardware, upholstery and carpeting was all redone.  The steering wheel and gauges appear to be original.  All of the factory gauges are in working order with the exception of the oil and temperature gauge.  A new oil and temperature gauge were installed and mounted under the dash.   A custom switch was also mounted under the dash to turn on the electric fan manually.  The interior lights, heating system and AM radio are in working order.  It has custom black carpeted floors.  The trunk compartment is painted a light gray and nicely detailed.  It’s equipped with a trunk mat, full spare tire, tools and fire extinguisher.  The engine compartment was completely painted and is nicely detailed throughout.  It’s equipped with power steering that makes driving a pleasure.  The car is powered by a 383 V8 engine that was rebuilt and runs excellent.  The engine is dressed a Weiland Intake, Mopar Performance black valve cover and Mopar Performance black air cleaner.  It has a brand new polished Summit Racing carburetor with electric choke and MSD wires.  The engine is cooled by an HD radiator with electric fan.  The engine breathes through factory manifolds and a Flow Master exhaust system that sounds excellent.  The engine is coupled to a 727 Torque Flight automatic transmission that is operated by push buttons.  This transmission was rebuilt and shifts very smoothly.  The rear end has been rebuilt with 3.21 gears for comfortable driving.  The undercarriage is clean and was uncoated at some point.  It was recently repainted underneath for appearance purposes only.  The braking system and suspension system was all redone.  It’s equipped with air shocks in the rear.  A car cover and award from the Sand Hallow Car Show is included.  This car is a great looker and cruiser.  This car was recently serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice that is included.
