This 1992 (original body) Corvette was re-designed in 1996 by Danny
Elliott; of Nascar fame; for the sole purpose of beating a
Lamborghini Diablo in the quarter mile."At the time Richard Berry;
one of the world's top 24 exotic car collectors; had a wife; Susan;
who wanted her '92 Corvette to beat Richard's '95 Lamborghini
Diablo in the quarter mile; so they had Danny design the motor; a
383 stroker with a super charger and nitrous. The cost of the motor
was $79;000. Danny was so confident that it would beat the
Lamborghini that he said if it didn't; the owner wouldn't owe him a
dime!"History was made and the Corvette won. After that; the car
was put in the garage with the rest of the priceless cars from the
Berry Collection.
