Vehicle Description
1994 was the first year that the Honda Del Sol was equipped from
the factory with the optional 160hp DOHC VTEC (8200 RPM redline)
engine and 5 speed manual transmission. This example is a true low
mileage (59K), rust free, survivor of the 90's Japanese pocket
rocket era. It is fully optioned with air conditioning, cruise
control, Targa top, electric mirrors, side windows and a
retractable rear window. The vehicle body structure, wheel wells
and door edges are completely rust free. The paint is original and
has the original wheels. The space saver spare tire, jack, owner's
manual and factory workshop manuals all accompany the purchase of
this classic. This Honda has always been very well maintained.
Recent service includes a new clutch, a four wheel alignment, a new
interstate battery, new brake pads and full coolant system
flushing. This Del Sol came from the factory with 40 more
horsepower than the Miata of the day. It also offered more interior
room and had a much larger truck. The Del Sol's Targa top provided
for open air motoring and more security when the vehicle was
locked. The totally unique retractable electric rear window made
for a quiet, turbulence free, open air ride. When combined with
Honda's jewel-like 8200 RPM DOHC VTEC engine and 5 speed, it made
the Del Sold one of the most unique Japanese pocket rockets of the
era. Estimated Value: $8,000-$12,000 BEING OFFERED AT NO
