Vehicle Description
1923 Ford T-Bucket
If you don't like people paying attention to what you are driving
then this is not the rod for you! There is no way of missing this
one coming, going or just sitting there! It has already won 5
trophies in its first two shows since being completed this
year.
It is powered by a monster-built 355ci, V-8 Chevrolet crate motor
coupled to a 350 Turbo automatic transmission with a 2,500 RPM
stall convertor that gets to the pavement through the Currie 9-inch
Posi-traction rear-end geared at 4:11. Fuel delivery comes from
dual 600CFM Edelbrock carburetors set atop a high-rise manifold and
underneath a custom painted air intake and filter. Inside the
checker painted engine bay is an electric fan and water pump
connected to the high-performance radiator to keep all of that
horsepower cooled down. The Painless wiring gives a neat and
orderly look over the chrome head covers and headers flowing out of
the exhaust extensions with muffled tips. It sits on a 4-bar
suspension with QA-1 rear coil-overs and disc brakes on all four
corners with stopping power for those brand new Mickey Thompson
radials. It is as pretty underneath as it is on top!
The exterior has been painted in award-winning, show quality "Plum
Crazy" Purple paint with lettering striped in on the scoop and
tailgate. It sports a custom front nose complete with a Rat Fink
hood ornament, a bottom scoop and traditional styled wide
headlights that are chrome and painted like the body. Unlike a lot
of t-buckets, a right hand door has been incorporated making
getting in and out a breeze. The finished bed has a checkered,
working cover that has been custom made to fit perfectly.
The inside of the cockpit continues the checkered theme with the
carpeting and custom painted dash that holds a full set of fully
calibrated Auto Gauges. The leather seats and door panels are all
done in a rich white color, as is the beautiful steering wheel
accented in chrome all the way to the firewall. This is your chance
to own a "brand new" '23 T-bucket for much less than the cost to
build. Avoid all the busted knuckles and just turn the key and go
instead!
