Vehicle Description
A top-quality build with the best of everything - that's what this
1964 Pontiac GTO has to offer. After all, it's a recent restoration
with a full midnight appearance, A/C interior, and a larger
tri-power V8 with four-on-the-floor.
This is a genuine first-year GTO, and so everyone at your car shows
can thank your coupe for starting the muscle car craze. But more
than just history, you'll love how this one knows how to intimidate
all the imitators that came after it. This starts with the slick
black paint. This coupe was given a full frame-off rotisserie
restoration that was complete in 2018. That means they made sure
the panels look awesome before the first drop of the slick black
went down. But as sinister as this car might appear, there are
still plenty of bright spots. The brightwork looks amazing on the
Wide-Track front end, hood vents, all the correct badging, and rear
bumper. Plus, the full-width rear trim strip for the taillights is
a great finishing touch (and that's what most people saw of these
anyway!) And the upgraded 15-inch torque thrust wheels with Hurst
center caps and redline tires add extra distinction to this vintage
performance package.
Inside, there was more investment making sure this felt fresh and
sinisterly dark. The bucket seats, door panels, carpeting, and
headliner give this a full midnight appearance that goes great with
the black exterior. And while they were restoring this Pontiac,
they also integrated some very worthwhile upgrades, like the AM/FM
digital tuner w/aux input, and there's ice-cold R134a air
conditioning. Your hands will love the Lecarra sports steering
wheel. From this view you start to see some very cool features. The
machine turned dash console is a hallmark of the GTO, and it's the
perfect home for the full round gauge package, including large
speedo and tach. That last one goes particularly well with the
Hurst shifter.
Your favorite upgrade of them all is going to be under the hood.
The 462 cubic-inch V8 is larger than anything ever offered in a
GTO, and the tidy setup lets everyone get a good look. This is a
performance build done by Kline Racing Engines, and oh yeah, it has
the iconic triple Rochester carburetor setup for tri-power. Best of
all, you have complete control over this big V8 and its thunderous
soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. Plus, this
comes with strong components like boxed rear trailing arms and
thick sway bars front & rear. You also have more great driving
features like rack & pinion power steering and drilled & slotted
front disc brakes.
The sale comes complete with a ton of desirable documentation,
including the original bill of sale, original warranty card,
reproduction buildsheet, dealer invoice, and Pontiac Historic
Services (PHS) paperwork. This is the first-year, big-power GTO
with all the features you want. So don't let it slip away, call
