Vehicle Description
1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan Fastback Sedan. This nicely restored
Lincoln is finished in beautiful Washington Blue paint accented by
a fresh Gray interior. This luxury giant is powered by the correct
337CI Flathead V8 engine and is mated to an original 3 speed column
shift manual transmission with overdrive. The restoration was
completed in 2016 and the car looks great and drives even better.
The 49 Linclon Cosmopolitan is credited by many for starting the
pontoon styling that was popular in the late 40's and early 50's.
This is a full sized luxury car that is nearly the size of a modern
SUV. It commands attention and turns heads everywhere it is driven.
The previous owner installed an electric fuel pump and converted
the car to 12 volt so the car starts right up, runs and drives like
a dream. Best of all he installed a modern style vintage air
conditioning system to keep all of the passangers cool even in the
summer months. The paint is extremely nice and the chrome and
brightwork are in fantastic condition. Our Lincoln is pretty well
equipped and features those famous suicide doors, functioning AM
radio, hydraulic power windows, rear foot rests, fender skirts,
dual exhaust with chrome tips, and factory steel wheels with
correct Lincoln caps wrapped in wide whitewall tires. This car is
the epitome of luxury and class of its era. It certainly will not
last for long so please contact us today before it is too late.
