Vehicle Description
This 1963 Chevrolet Impala has a lot going for it. Hardtop
distinction, big block appeal, and cool additions (when was the
last time you saw a '63 with a sunroof?) makes for a memorable
classic that's ready to enjoy right now.
This generation Impala was all about a new era in style. This was
the car that really told us the '60s were going to all about
looking fast and looking good. Tailfins were out, and crisp style
was in. You see it everywhere on this Impala. It's in the
well-defined lines of the hardtop roof, the edge on the wraparound
chrome bumpers, and the side trim that tapers like an arrow sharply
pointing this coupe forward. And there's a pure masterstroke of
style in the crisp crease that runs from headlight to taillight on
top of the fender that's also joined by another full-length one in
middle of the body. While all that's pure vintage, the later
upgrade to red paint and the modern REV 17-inch alloys hint at more
updates to this classic.
Inside is an even bolder red. The seats have a bit of a classic
look, but as you get closer, you can see that black inserts are
joined by suede-like red cloth. This creates a rich look and a
comfortable feeling. Newer door panels, a nice headliner, and
fresher looped carpeting continue this upgraded feeling. And the
addition of a power sunroof will make sure everyone will remember
this, because it might just be the only time they've seen this
upgrade in a Chevy hardtop. But even with all these additions, you
never lose that classic style. The center console with floor shift
is a great SS piece. So is the machine-turned dash panel that even
still has the factory Delco AM radio on display.
You're going to love showing off the motor, too. After all, nothing
fills an enthusiast with pride quite like a big block on display.
And this 454 cubic-inch V8 looks nice with the shining valve covers
and air topper. Plus, this big block has been enhanced with an
Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer 2.0
intake. It makes the kind of sweet sound out of the glasspack-style
dual exhaust that will have you showing this one off everywhere.
That's why you also have easy driving features like a CPP power
steering box, modern ZR-rated tires, and a three-speed automatic
transmission.
This is the classic Impala hardtop with some outstanding upgrades.
