Vehicle Description
The luxury and prestigious Lincoln Continentals were built
1939-1942, after the war they were reintroduced in 1946-1948 with
minor changes from the 1942 model. Believed to be the first Lincoln
Continental was custom designed and built for Edsel Ford to use for
a vacation. Designed by Lincoln's head stylist and master designer
Bob Gregori. A very expensive car in its time; buyers considered it
an investment in luxury. 1948 was the very last year for the Mark I
V12; only to be reintroduced in 1956 with complete new Gordon
Buehrig design. Recognized as a full classic by Class Car Club of
America, CCCA and adds to the value and desirability. This car
comes from an estate of a very discerning collector and was
professionally body up restored in 1992. Recipient of AACA National
first place both Junior and Senior divisions. The general
appearance of this car; recently and completely refreshed, is a
strong #2 category. The Regal Blue paint still looks factory fresh
along with very presentable chrome. The red leather interior looks
excellent with little ware. Engine, transmission, and overdrive
believed rebuilt at the time of restoration. 1948 is the last year
of the run and only one of 452 built makes this V-12 Lincoln a
wonderful epic survivor. 125 HP V-12 LHead engine with overdrive
powers this car smooth and effortlessly. Mint Cabriolets value
range $85 to $110,000 - this car is a value at $69,900.00. Call our
