History
Porsche produced only 701 RS America from 1993-94 as an homage to the 1972-73 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7. In a similar fashion, all was done to lighten the RS America and provide a pure driving experience.
In traditional Porsche style, it was equipped with a manual five-speed transmission. Porsche lightened the interior of the RS America with door pull straps and no rear jump seats. In 1994, the following options were available: air conditioning, sunroof, radio, limited slip differential and rear jump seats.
