The 1969 Pontiac GTO was essentially a carry-over from the all new 1968 models with some improvements. Gone were the vent windows and a few other aesthetic changes. Our expresso brown (code 61) convertible was recently acquired from the original owner, who always used the car sparingly and treated it with the utmost care. Optioned just right; code 382 push button radio, cod 391 rear-seat speaker, code 414 retractable headlamp covers, code 424 remote control outside left-hand mirror, code 454 rally II wheels, code 501 power steering, code 511 manual disc brakes, code 531 tinted glass (all), code 571 head restraints, code 631 & 632 front and rear floor mats. We added the reproduction Coker, red-line Firestone tires. The code 267 parchment interior of our GTO appears to be all original with the exception of the carpet. It still looks absolutely beautiful. The car also retains all of it's original sheet metal and was treated to an all over, professional respray a few years ago.
We have a multitude of paperwork that would include; original owners manual, warranty book, two broadcast cards, original cigarette lighter warning tag, letter to customer from Pontiac with original envelope, two reproduction window stickers and the complete PHS documents.
This is an early 1969 production model that was shipped on October 19, 1968 to Lombardo Pontiac, in Willoughby Ohio.
The car has remained in the Northeast Ohio area it's whole life. This little convertible GTO looks, runs and drives just as it did the day it was built. Of the 72, 287 1969 GTO's produced, only 7,328 were convertibles making this classic car pretty hard to find.INVESTMENT QUALITY.
