Vehicle Description
1966 Chevrolet Corvette 427/390hp For Sale- Tuxedo Black W/Red Int,
Factory A/C LMC is proud to offer for sale this 1966 Chevrolet
Corvette Coupe 427/390hp Chevrolet Corvette, C2 for 2nd Generation
and also known as the Corvette Stingray, is the American sports car
legend produced for the 1963 to 1967 model years. The radical
exterior styling of this Corvette generation was very purposeful,
with peaked fenders, a long nose, and a short, bobbed tail.
Chevrolet designers actually bragged about the styling at the time,
saying: 'looks most stylists would be too timid to even suggest'.
Originally offered with an array of 327ci V8s, it was the 1966
introduction of the 427ci V8 that would truly earn the 'Vette its
'King of the Road' status. With the improvements bestowed on its
brakes and suspension since the C2's introduction, it proved to be
a potent combination of power and agility; something that Zora
himself said he would be proud to take and show off in Europe. This
very rare and unique 1966 Corvette Coupe was produced on February
17th, 1966 and originally delivered to O'Rielly Motor Company in
Tucson, Arizona as confirmed by the NCRS shipping data report. It
was ordered in the ultra-rare and desirable code 900 Tuxedo Black
Paint of which only 4f cars that year were produced. Add a code 407
Red vinyl interior you have one of only a handful built in the most
desirable color combination. The interior itself is largely
original and in outstanding condition. It is powered by the
matching number 427/390 horsepower engine and backed by the numbers
matching M20 4-speed transmission. Loaded with options including
the very desirable air conditioning, side exit exhaust, power
windows, headrests, telescopic steering column, AM/FM radio, date
coded Knock-Off wheels and Goldline tires. This corvette today
remains largely unrestored having had only one repaint during it's
lifetime. Under the hood is still largely original with only
service items being replaced over time. The undercarriage is
largely original as well with chalk marks still present, spring
tags, driveshaft markings, tape under body shims, overspray on
bellhousing, bare fiberglass floors and much more. The car even
retains its date-coded aluminum knock off wheels. It also runs and
drives extremely well having never been taken apart or tampered
with. This car would be the perfect addition to any Corvette
purist's collection as they would appreciate the originality of
this Big Block Corvette. The documentation supporting the
originality of this Corvette includes the NCRS shipping data
report, Owner's Manual and Protection Plan Booklet complete with
the Protect-O-Plate. As well it comes complete with old
registrations, owner history, copy of old titles and even a period
photograph with the original owner. Being a factory Tuxedo Black
with Red interior and with its options list, makes this 1966
Corvette one of the most desirable combinations ever built! It is
also very unusual to find a C2 Corvette in this original condition
having never restored and documented Corvette like the day it was
delivered to its first owner. This Corvette is perfect for the
savant who appreciates a well preserved, highly optioned and fully
documented Big Block Corvette. Additional Details: 1966 CHEVROLET
