1966 Dodge D100This was a military vehicle that came from Israel
that ended up in the Tama Iowa reservationWheelbase - 133 in (3,378
mm) (regular cab 9 ft (2.7 m) Utiline bed)Original Engine - 225 cu
in Chrysler Slant 6The D series were made both for the civilian
market and for the Israeli armyThis vehicle has now been highly
modified. Many changed were made to engine, suspension and
interior. This caused almost everything that need to be modified.
PaintHad been painted white with a brush. The military green was
under this coat of white.Vehicle was painted Viper Blue by Steve
Suchomel. Many hours of body work were needed to get this vehicle
to the point it is today. A donor vehicle was purchased due to bad
cab and body damage, but it was in roughly the same shape. We
discovered the issues are prone to this model. EngineOriginal 2.6
Slant sixReplaced with a 360 4 speed. Engine/trans were rebuilt by
Brian Gade of Clarence. It has a mild cam improvement. This engine
is known as the boss of the small block Chrysler engines. Family is
LA.This engine came out of a 1971 Dodge D300. Very low miles with
manual 4 speed. Notables: Front suspension by Geurst. Carl Guerst
is a known fabricator out of Burlington that makes front ends for
Mopar Muscle and specializes in this independent front suspension
with coil over shocks and Willwood brakes. The rear end is out of
1974 Imperial that is a 9 . This was the only early year to have
disc brakes. Frame and all body parts were all completed
disassembled. Frame was sandblasted and painted with a urethane
primer and paint. All body parts were wetblasted to prepare for
body work and to also eliminate any type of warpage. Brake booster
installed. Steven Miles installed Brake lines. New Hydraulic clutch
used. Wheels 2014 Dodge Challenger, 500 miles on originals Complete
new bed structure. A kit was purchased with all new stainless
hardware and optional outside stainless bed style strips. Radiator
checked by Stiffs A good used set of rear running boards were
purchased at Vintage power wagons in Fairfield. All new window and
door weather-stripping New Battery Body has new cab corners, rocker
panels and all new cowl pieces. Seats out of 1999 Silverado.
Installed new seat covers and head rest covers. Front wheels
modified to accommodate Willwood hubs. All new body mounts New
Exhaust Sadler made new PTO shaft. New wiring harness New Gauges,
made new plate for gauges New rubber on doors, windows New front
windshield and rear glass New front bumper New headlights New rear
lights Replaced heater core New alternator, starter, water pump,
power steering pump. New carpet Many extras,etc.Shown by
