For Sale: 1938 Chevrolet Master in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

There's just something about the handsome lines of a pre-war Chevy that make great custom cars. Its unique styling gives it distinction from the Fords, and it has an attraction that we can't help but make all our own. So when it has been so well customized inside and out, this 1938 Chevrolet Master Deluxe street rod is turn-key ready to take home.

The swept-back grille, teardrop headlights, and rounded fenders give this '38 Chevy a substantial impression. None of the bodywork on this kind of timeless elegance needs to be altered. So every time you feel how the doors shut with confidence, it's truly a testament to how they really built them right over eight decades ago. But just because it retains its vintage grace, doesn't mean there isn't modern flair. The turquoise paint has an electric glow, and that voltage feeling extends to the full striping package (including the lettering on the side that proudly announces this is a thirty-eight.) Plus, the painted grille, sport mirrors, and shining Billet alloys give this plenty of contemporary performance attitude. But the butterfly hood and vintage trunk-back look means this one will also always be respected for its classic style.

Inside is a very inviting classic. The gray on the seats, side panels, and dash give this car a great uniform appearance that they love to see at the shows. Even the piping on the capering coordinates! But beyond just looking fantastic, this is also a comfortable cruiser. The front seats are newer buckets finished in a comfortable tweed cloth and feature modern bolstering. So they're all-day comfortable. The door panels have a great custom look, and at the same time, they offer you a full armrest. You have an AM/FM/cassette stereo, cruise control, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. So this is a great classic for family and friends. But even if it's just you, this Chevy is still quite inviting. You'll sit behind a banjo-style steering wheel mounted on a tilt column, and just ahead of that is a full set of crisp VDO gauges.

Not only do we like the look of the butterfly hood, but also what you get within it. The 350 cubic-inch V8 looks nice with the valve covers, alternator, and compressor painted to match the exterior. And the overall look is quite well constructed. That's why you have nice features like steel-braided hoses and an electric fan. The V8 inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor. So you get the right power and a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. And the great driving features don't end there. This street rod has been upgraded to a three-speed automatic transmission, independent front suspension w/front disc brakes, and power steering.

You're looking at a vintage Chevy that's a great smooth-running anytime driving classic. So when you find something this special, you know you need to hurry to get it in your garage. Call now!
