This Barchetta is #365 of only 448 total manufactured. Introduced in 2000, this model was offered in limited quantity to celebrate Pininfarina’s 70th anniversary. These 550 Barchettas offered the same exhilarating performance of the coupe, 0-60 in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 185 mph. Besides the lowered windshield and roadster appearance, the Barchetta also received new five spoke riveted alloy Speedline wheels. All 448 Barchettas were original pre-sold to Ferrari’s favored clientele.
Originally sold via Miller Motorcars in Connecticut to Mr. William Moore, this 550 has been with collectors since new. Changing collector owner’s hands, this 550 was then sold to its most recent custodian in 2007. In this ownership, about 3,000 miles have been added and everything has been serviced and maintained regardless of use, when where needed by well-known and respected Ferrari restoration specialists Motion Products. In 2018, the Ferrari Classiche application was submitted and then further granted. This 550 Barchetta was recently shown at the 2019 Cavallino Classic in Palm Beach, Florida. It then returned to Motion Products for further expenditure to bring to Platinum status. Motion Products is well known for their award winners, this Barchetta will not disappoint in any way.
