Vehicle Description
Wow, what a killer combination of options and colors. This is the
ultimate in my opinion. Only 217 miles on a total body off the
frame restoration to show standards. It is originally a California
car.
EXTERIOR: The Cortez silver has a smooth glossy finish, even the
jambs. Stripes are painted correctly. Has functional cowl
induction. All of the exterior trim is new- emblems, door handles,
grill, bumpers, headlight bezels, hood pins, lenses etc. Stainless
around the windshield is polished like chrome. New weatherstrips
and window seals. All of the glass is tinted and new. Has correct
T-3 headlights. Black convertible top is new. The top frame is
repainted, new weatherstrips. Has reproduction Goodyear polyglass
tires on correctly restored SS wheels. Colors match the trim
tag.
INTERIOR: The red is fantastic. It is completely restored. New
cushions so the seats are firm and upholstery tight. New door
panels, armrests, seat backs, headrests etc. The dash area is
beautiful, restored like new. Heater controls, dash pad, instrument
bezel is new. Has power windows, factory gauges, deluxe tilt wheel.
Clock is rebuilt, interior lights work. Upgraded retro stereo with
aux plug.
MOTOR COMPARTMENT: #s on engine match the car. It is fully restored
and detailed. Looks just like it did when it left the factory. Has
GM hoses and clamps, Delco battery topper with spring clamp cables.
It has California smog equipment. Has new wiring, cadmium plated
brake booster, stainless brake lines, new wiper motor etc. It's
really a beautiful engine compartment.
UNDERSIDE: Wow, detailed like a model car. The body was off the
frame on a rotisserie. The underside is spotless metal painted red
oxide primer and cleared. The entire chassis is painted a smooth
gloss black finish. Every component under the car is new- shocks,
brakes, fuel tank, lines, parking brake cables, hardware. Front end
is rebuilt. Has F-41 suspension which includes boxed control arms
and sway bars. Has 12 bolt rear. New dual exhaust with cowbell
tips.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Spotless metal with a durable spatter paint from
a spray gun. Has matching reproduction Goodyear polyglass tire on
new SS wheel. Jack looks new, has new mat.
Of the thousands of cars that we have owned this one is one my
favorites. A 4-speed with a/c, 454 and all the goodies is the cat's
meow. Colors are awesome and unique. Has copy of window
sticker.
