The year was 1969 and muscle cars were in full swing. Each of the “Big 3” manufacturers had developed their own version of the ultimate high-performance big-block engine pony car. That led Chevrolet’s Central Office Production Order (COPO) system to produce a limited run of 1969 Camaros with the L72 427ci engine, and other factory-installed performance equipment, for a very select number of dealers.
In the tradition of those awesome first-generation muscle cars, Specialty Vehicle Engineering introduced the 2016 Yenko/SC Camaro. Beginning life as a Hyper Blue Metallic, 6-speed Camaro 2SS coupe equipped with optional dual-mode performance exhaust and 8” touchscreen with navigation, it was transformed into a fire-breathing 700hp beast. This Camaro was #1 of a limited production run of just 50 cars, as indicated on the key fobs, engine compartment and dash plaque. The Yenko/SC included a hand-built 427ci LT1 naturally aspirated 700hp engine with aluminum block and heads, 5-spoke wheels with Gunmetal finish, upgraded supercar tires, embroidered headrests and floor mats (unopened and still in the wrapper), and much more.
Showing just over 1,100 miles from new with a clean, one-owner CARFAX, this car comes with every shred of paperwork from its purchase at Huebner Chevrolet in Ohio, including all documentation from Specialty Vehicle Engineering with addendum, original Window Sticker, original sales receipt, odometer statement, brochures, keys, Build Sheet, owner’s manual and more. In excellent low-mileage condition, with a recent oil change in April 2019, this #1 Yenko/SC Camaro is ready for enjoyment and is certain to be an amazing collectible throughout time.
