Vehicle Description
The right car comes along only very rarely, and while tributes are
nice, serious collectors know the value in having the real thing.
That's why you're so fixed on this real-deal 1969 Chevrolet Camaro
Z/28. It's certified authentic with the numbers-matching V8 (major
components date-correct, too), a nice mix of preservation and
restoration, and in an awesome factory color combination. So this
is your chance to grab the dream that's becoming rarer every
day.
This was born a Cortez Silver coupe, which is one of the best
colors for timeless appeal. A professional respray later in life
means this retains a very sleek look in the sunshine. And that's
exactly what this car deserves. After all, it was built to be a bit
sleeker. It was ordered as cowl hood and rear spoiler delete car,
and it retains that added distinction today. So you really get the
Camaro's natural lines on this high-performance Z-car. In fact,
with the straightness of the sheetmetal and the shine of the
brightwork, you can tell they took care of this special machine. Of
course, you'll love that it comes with all the other proper
elements, like the correct badging, 15-inch wheels, and the iconic
dual racing stripes that this real-deal Z/28 has earned.
The black stripes not only look great on the exterior, but they
also provide a preview of the interior. This car carries its full
factory-correct color combo, but there have also been the right
investments along the way. For example, the carpeting is a proper
replacement to keep this feeling fresh, and the seats have been
recovered so you have a crisp button-top presentation. It has a
terrific look with the original deluxe interior that has correct
details, like the full armrest door panels, wood-like dash trim,
and dual-spoke steering wheel. Even the correct AM radio is still
on display. This is an early 1969 model year build, and so it did
not yet fall under the tach requirement. Plus, with its console
delete, it all adds even more distinction to this Z/28 amongst
Camaro fans.
The engine is why the Z/28 is so special. The original,
numbers-matching DZ-code 302 cubic-inch V8 is still in place. It's
likely been rebuilt to keep it running strong, but it retains the
right pieces, like the exclusive heads and fined valve covers. The
motor inhales deeply through the correct Holley four-barrel
carburetor, and it exhales with a mighty sound thanks to the dual
exhaust. A numbers-matching Muncie M21 is stout enough to handle
all the power this race-ready motor is putting down. And the
close-ratio four-speed stick combined with the date-coded 4.10
Positraction rear end means you're unbeatable off the line. The
final part to this speed and control package is Chevy adding a set
of front disc brakes.
The car comes compete with the certification report from Jerry
MacNeish. And you can see there has been great care and investment
in this coupe, right down to the undercarriage photos. Yes, this
Z/28 is that special, and if you hurry, it can all be yours. Call
