Vehicle Description
This is a 1969 Nova black on black originally a SS 396 4 speed car,
NCRS shows sold new at Nickey Chevrolet. There is no documentation
but it does have the original big block heater box, disc brakes, 12
bolt, dual fuel lines for a quadrajet, the clutch pedal is still in
the car under the floor mat and it came with the big block cross
member. The body is a complete rust free body along with the
floors, trunk, and dash area. The doors still open and close like
it did when it was new. The rear wheel wells were modified in the
1970's for larger wheels but that's all it would need is rear wheel
well patches and outer wheel housings which could just be patched.
The car recently had a base coat clear coat paint job. The interior
is very nice if you like the 1970's style interior they did the
velour inserts in the seats. Anyone returning it back to stock
would have to redo the seats. The seat are original and are very
nice just need to be recovered. The headliner, all the trim and the
sun visors are as well. The engine in the car is an original CRV
LS6 engine. The story current owner was told is that a Chevelle was
totaled early on and in 1990 the owner of this car bought the
complete engine and had it redone to put in the Nova. The engine
block is TO618CRV but there is no serial number by looking at the
deck, it's believed someone removed the vin and it left deep
scratches in the deck. The block date code is J2469 and the heads
are E770. Owner also has the oil pump and pan with the car. The
bottom end was left stock just blueprinted and balanced not sure
what was done to the heads and a big solid flat tappet cam. Owner
also has receipt for the motor The transmission is an automatic
turbo 400 with a 3500 stall and a blow proof bell housing and the
rear end is a 4:56 12 bolt with strange axles and owner believes a
brute strength posi unit. It also has line lock, MSD, and many
other race parts.
