Vehicle Description
This 1968 Shelby GT500KR fastback is finished in its original color
of Wimbledon White with a Saddle interior. This KR received a
concours-quality restoration in the early 2000s and has been driven
less than 20 miles since the restoration was completed. Every area
of the car was meticulously restored back to factory-original
specifications. This KR is powered by a 428ci Cobra Jet engine with
date-code-correct block and intake, mated to a correct C6 "R" Servo
automatic transmission with a cast-iron tailshaft. The car still
retains an original smog system, as well as its original suspension
and steering linkage. The rear end and leaf springs are also
correct and date-coded properly for the car. The Saddle interior is
in great condition, along with all the correct Carlite glass. The
wheels have been upgraded to 10-spokes with large-letter speedway
tires. The car is equipped with a complete Scott Fuller exhaust
system. The restoration on this KR was performed with a
no-expense-spared attitude, and it shows in the car's quality. The
car is listed in the SAAC Shelby Registry and comes with complete
with a Deluxe Marti Report to verify its authenticity.
