Vehicle Description
This D-code 1957 T-Bird with both tops is powered by a 312/245hp
engine and an automatic transmission. It is equipped with power
steering and brakes, and has been in the same family since 1967.
This fully restored '57 presents in its original colors with wire
wheels. 1957 was the last year of the first-generation Baby Birds.
In 1957 Ford modified the Thunderbird with new front and rear ends,
as well as a more powerful V8 engine. The '57s feature bespoke
bumpers with through-the-bumper exhaust outlets. This more powerful
model was met with great enthusiasm by consumers, who purchased
over 20,000 units that year. This classic Thunderbird has all the
upgrades added to the 1957 model year, including larger 14" wheels,
increased chassis rigidity, a new suspension, and new, larger
brakes at all four corners.
