Extremely Nice from Top to Bottom

• Paint and Body

The paint on this 3100 is nicer than when Chevy first sent it to the dealership, and the body is in excellent condition.  This ’54 is the 5-window model with a one-piece windshield.

The completely refinished pickup bed gleams like new.

The underside is clean and free of rust (other than surface rust) and appears to have been the subject of a frame-off restoration.  Please see pictures.

• Interior

The tan cloth & vinyl interior is clean and fresh-looking, and as one would expect, the upholstery is free of rips, holes or separations.

All of the safety equipment (lights, wipers and horn) work properly.

• Engine

The 235 cid in-line six starts at the press of the starter button and performs as it should: smoothly and with plenty of power to move this ½-ton pick as well as whatever you choose to put in the pristine wooden bed. The electrical system has been converted to 12-volts.

• Transmission

The 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission shifts properly.

• Brakes

The 11-inch drum brakes make this 3100 a pleasure to drive.

• Safety and Convenience

All of the safety features (lights, signals, horn, wipers) on the 3100 work correctly.  The truck is equipped with seat belts for extra safety, has a working heater/defroster for cold-weather comfort and the optional passenger-side sunvisor to reduce glare.

The convenience items include: heater/defroster; side vents for “air conditioning”, and a radio which is stuck in 1954!
