Vehicle Description
Restored 1964 Corvette soft-top-only convertible finished in its
factory-original color scheme of Daytona Blue over silver vinyl,
with a 327/300hp engine, 4-speed manual transmission, posi-traction
rear end with 3.55 gears and an AM/FM radio. Absent original
factory paperwork, the original engine, transmission, rear
differential, Trim Tag and VIN plate confirm this car's original
configuration. A separate sheet with complete casting date and
machine code description, as well as breakdown for each of the
major components, is included. This vehicle retains its original
born-with drivetrain. The Trim Tag and VIN tag are unaltered,
original GM-issued items, which have never been off the vehicle.
The Trim Tag indicates "64-867," confirming the 1964 model year
convertible with St. Louis-built body #732. The Trim Tag indicates
"A20" as the production date of September 20, 1963, with "Trim
490DB" (silver vinyl, no power windows, no automatic transmission
and no hardtop), and the "916AA Paint" indicates Daytona Blue. This
car has been judged and has received multiple NCRS Top Flight
Awards, with a best score of 99.3. It also received the NCRS Duntov
Mark of Excellence Award. This Corvette was owned by the same
person from 1965 through 2008 and has remained in the same family
until present.
