Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this survivor 1988 Mustang GT which is in fantastic original condition with low actual miles of 29,857 Actual miles. This Mustang GT is believed to be a one owner car from new. This Mustang is mostly original with one repaint in the factory exterior color and an upgraded stereo and exhaust. This Mustang was repainted during the factory warranty due to a defect in the original factory paint. This Mustang features a very nice repaint in Factory Grey, a mostly original interior, several dealer books and manuals, and the original 302/5 Speed drive line. This Mustang is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. This Mustang is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Gray over Gray plaid cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above and included Marti report. The low mileage is not only validated by the original condition of this Mustang but also by the Ohio title pictured below stating the mileage as "Actual." There is also an 2019 state inspection sheet showing the miles as original. Also an included carfax showing multiple accounts of mileage although the last entry is a clerical error. The safety inspection in 2017 stated the miles as 29,186. The safety inspection in 2018 entered the miles in error at 129,725, then was corrected during the 2019 safety inspection at 29,855 which is in congruence with all the other records of mileage for this car from new.
Exterior
The Grey exterior is in super nice stock condition. This Mustang was treated to a professional repaint in the factory Grey color and looks excellent and still hosts its original sheet metal and factory emblems, trim, and moldings. The paint is in great condition and there are no signs of visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the car and no cracked paint anywhere on the car. The car was repainted under factory warranty due to a defect in the original finish. Both bumpers are in excellent shape with no pitting, dents, or scratches. This Mustang is extremely strait with great gaps and lines and has a great shine and smooth finish. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have decent tread left and the OEM wheels are in excellent condition with no curb rash. All weather stripping and window sweeps are original and in good condition. The trunk is factory correct and in great shape and the spare tire looks new and the jack and tools are in the factory placement. The underside of this Mustang is very honest and extremely solid and rust free, and has not had any touch ups. All glass is in excellent shape. The top cover is original and in great shape. The top has been replaced with a factory correct top.
Interior
The Grey cloth interior of this Mustang is original and in good condition. The cloth seat covers are factory originals and in good condition for their age and being cloth. The carpet is original and looks great with no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no fading and the gauges are crisp and clear. The stereo was upgraded professionally to a CD player and sounds great in the car. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The original fog lights work great and look excellent on the car. All gauges and heater work as they should. The horn, stereo, wipers, power door locks, and blower motor on all speeds, all work.
Mechanical
This Mustang is in very good mechanical condition with only 29,857 actual miles on the original drive line and drives like new. We have driven this Mustang numerous times and it drives like new and shifted easily through all 5 gears without issue. The brakes work as they should, car steers as it should, and the car shifts as it should. I noticed no issues or items needing repaired or addressed. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. The engine is clean and appears to be in stock condition. The exhaust was upgraded from the cats back with Flowmaster mufflers and sounds great at idle and cruising speeds and has a nice rumble. Many surfaces from the factory were not painted which surface corrosion over the years in inevitable. There are factory markings, tags, paint dobs in factory places on the car and noted in the photos. This Mustang has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owner and the overall condition of this car and the way it runs and drives validates that. The outstanding originality of this Mustang and the way it drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special Mustang.
