A truly unique barnfind is this 1938 NSU-FIAT Typ 1500 4-Fenster Gläser Cabriolet. Based on the Fiat 508C chassis and mechanics from Fiat, NSU licensed the famous body builder Gläser to build this Sports Cabriolet. Gläser was in those years known for its high-quality and luxury car construction. This version is extra special because this is the version with the more powerful 6-cylinder 1500cc engine. We do not know the exact number of cars produced, but it is said that it would be around 20. The owner of this unique car has been an old-timer friend of ours for over 30 years and has had this project in his man-cave for all those 30 years, stored well and dry. The car was waiting patiently until the moment of restoration. However, with many projects awaiting, our friend has now opted to exchange this unique project with us for another roadworthy old-timer. After 30 years of waiting, this car is now out and in the picture for the first time. A unique opportunity to buy a piece of history and to restore.
