Harley Earl, the flowing lines of the early '50's Buick Supers left
consumers in awe of the gorgeous car that is the '52 Buick Super
Riviera. VentiPorts made their debut thanks to Buick styling Chief
Ned Nickles creativity, and experimentation with his own '48
Roadmaster. He made a few modifications to his hood to help
simulate the exhaust of a fighter plane shooting flames. The ports
paired with the bomb-sight mascot on the hood gave a little flair
to the styling on this post- WWII car. This example is in
impressive condition inside and out! The exterior curves of this
beautiful car are covered in the factory correct Barton Grey paint
(Code 04). The car was repainted at some point between now and '52
when it rolled off the Kansas City Missouri assembly line. The
iconic front-end with the large chrome grille is elegant and
eye-catching. The post-less configuration of the body means rolling
all the windows down gives you a really open feel, and seems to
make the car a little bit longer and sleeker. Of note is that this
car has the Safety Group package which includes interior Parking
Brake warning light, backup lights, and larger bumper guards. Buick
advertised that this car is able to comfortably seat 6 passengers,
and we can say that they were 100% correct with that claim. The
interior is extremely spacious, and when you're on the large bench
seat alone, it seems as though you're in a room alone. Original
trim (Code 61) consisting of Black Nylon Cloth and Light Grey
Broadcloth. The dashboard is sleek and trimmed with plenty of
chrome bezels and strips. A large radio and chrome speaker flanked
by chrome knobs are the centerpiece of the dashboard, while a neat
grouping of gauges are in the driver's line of sight. Interior
options include wipers, glare-proof mirror, 'Weather-Warden' Heater
and Defroster, Power Steering, and Sonomatic Radio. Under the
side-opening hood is a 263ci Straight-8 mated to a DynaFlow
transmission. The starting process is interesting - there is no
key, the driver can get in the car, turn the ignition switch, push
the gas pedal, and it turns over. This Buick is a very smooth
running, easy to drive classic. The Buick is a beautiful car in
design and options, it's a car that you'll have trouble keeping
your eyes off of. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on
