Vehicle Description
A full custom classic, this 1946 Ford Deluxe sedan streetrod offers
beautiful paint, plenty of V8 power, and fresh A/C interior that
make it stand out everywhere. It's a mix of comfort, power, and
uniqueness that makes it irresistible.
Do you know why you can't take your eyes off the glossy paint? We
do. There was the kind of investment in the dark red that tells you
not only money was put into this classic, but also a lot of careful
time. You're looking at a complete frame-off five-year restoration
that was completed in 2011, and only about 10k miles put on it
since then. So this '40s Ford retains the kind of quality that
radiates no matter if it's parked in the sunlight of the car show
lawn or the neon of your favorite car hop. And you want your 1946
Ford to be a true red-blooded American like this one, because this
was the first model year of civilian car production after WWII. But
more than just patriotic, this classic inspires pride because even
the details look great. Powder-coated bumpers, complete trim, black
sun visor, and nicely fitting panels create a cut-above custom. And
it's all finished off with the 15-inch Centerline wheels that shine
as brightly as the paint.
Inside, you instantly know this has been fully customized once you
take one look at the seats. After all, bucket seats and a center
console with a cup holder were decades away when this Ford first
came into this world. Yours is even power adjustable to your
perfect driving position. But more than just custom, this is a
fresh package. They invested over $4,000 in 2018 for new fabric and
giving this all a well-coordinated look that will make you want to
cruise this classic with pride. From the driver's seat you can see
a lot of investment when into custom work. You have all the right
conveniences like an upgraded retro-style AM/FM stereo w/CD player
in the glovebox. And everyone stays comfortable with modern R134a
air conditioning. The steering wheel has plenty of wood and chrome,
and it's mounted on a Flaming River tilt column. Beyond that is a
full set of Dolphin gauges with retro-style markings and a cool
green glow. Plus, the large SunPro tach on the dash is a nice
indication there's something special under the hood.
It's nice to see upgraded Ford power under the hood of a classic
blue oval custom. This is a 289 cubic-inch V8 borrowed from another
Ford legend - the 1966 Mustang. It has also been treated to
upgrades such as bright valve covers, a newer radiator, and the
extra power of a Holley four-barrel carburetor. And you get much
more than just an upgraded V8. This Ford was meant for cruising, so
it also has a three-speed automatic transmission, newer front sway
bar, and the upgraded to a tubular A-arm independent front
suspension. The front end was even aligned in 2018. Add in power
steering and front disc brakes, and this is the kind of cool custom
that's easy to drive any day.
The sale comes complete with a detailed restoration photos book and
build receipts. This is the slick-looking and smooth-running
vintage Ford with all the features you want. So if you like taking
you classic everywhere, and looking great doing it, call today!
