Vehicle Description
Combining modern performance with the appeal of classic Detroit
muscle, this Pro-Touring 1970 Charger's professional restoration
began with a rust-free Charger R/T body that was carefully
acid-dipped and E-coated before multiple coats of PPG Grigio Pearl
Metallic were applied under blacked-out trim, a black hood
treatment and a black bumblebee stripe. The cockpit was adorned
with a leather interior installed around hand-stitched bucket seats
and features modern air conditioning, Dynamat insulation, modern
AutoMeter telemetry, MP3-capable Pioneer CD player, aftermarket
Tuff Wheel and rowing the billet shifter. This custom is powered by
a 500ci Indy Cylinder Head Wedge V8 engine. Highlights of the
application-specific mill include Edelbrock Performer RPM heads,
electronic ignition, a 4340 crank, Eagle H-beam rods, a COMP
hydraulic cam, Speed Pro hypereutectic pistons and a 750cfm Demon
carburetor. Power delivery is handled by a Keisler-modified TREMEC
TKO500 5-speed manual transmission, which utilizes a hydraulic
clutch to power a Moser Dana 60 axle that's equipped with 3.54
gears. Handling characteristics are provided by AFCO
double-adjustable coilovers joined by a Reilly MotorSports front
clip with a modified Detroit Speed rear suspension. Modern power
steering and Wilwood disc brakes take full advantage of the grip
provided by the Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR tires wrapped around Fikse
wheels.
