Vehicle Description
The Gurney Signature Edition Saleen features a supercharged
4.6-liter V8 engine producing 465hp backed by a 5-speed manual
transmission, along with Saleen's Racecraft suspension and a paint
scheme reminiscent of Gurney's 1969 Trans Am race car. Saleen
fitted its tried-and-true Series VI supercharger system complete
with a dual-stage water-to-air intercooler, high-flow intake and 39
lb/hr fuel injectors. Exterior body features include a unique hood
with hood pins, front and rear spoilers. Only 300 limited-edition
cars were built in three colors (100 each); Torch Red, Performance
White and Vista Blue, each receiving Dan Gurney's autograph on the
dash. The car also comes with a host of other performance
accessories, including a short-throw shifter and 3.73 Max Grip rear
axle, Generation-II Watts-Link rear setup, and a custom two-tone
interior with blue Alcantara seats. Stopping power comes from 12.4"
vented discs up front and smaller 11.8" discs out back. These
reside within 19" powder-coated wheels wrapped with A-performance
Pirelli Corsa tires. A unique six-gauge instrument cluster with a
180-mph speedometer replaces the stock piece, and a dash-mounted
gauge pod showing boost pressure and intake air temperature makes
sure the car is running smoothly. The performance driving pedals
provide a more upscale look. Saleen also added chrome dash vent
bezels, unique floor mats and Gurney Edition badging on the
steering wheel and door sill plates.
