1953 GMC 1/2 ton Pickup Truck – Completely Restored to Factory Production
RARE five (5) window long bed, ½ ton …. with a VERY RARE Factory Hydramatic Transmission. GMC's first year for this option was late 1953. Manufactured and assembled in Oakland, California where it remained until 2018 when the new owner moved it to Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Original GMC 228 cu. in. straight six engine with one-barrel carburetor. Manual choke and throttle makes this truck run and drive great. No rust. Wooden bed. Perfect chrome. Makes this truck a truly RARE find. 315 actual miles on odometer. Restored a few years back.
Just a handful were factory produced in 1953----How many survived???
