**SALE PENDING** For sale is a true factory H-code 426 Hemi backed by a factory 4 speed manual transmission Dodge First generation Charger. This is the first year Dodge offered the Street Hemi to the public to meet NASCAR regulations.
Scheduled build date of this Charger Jan 17th 1966. It is 1 of just 250 426 Hemi 4 speed Chargers built in 1966. This particular Charger was special ordered in AA1 Buffed Silver metallic with Blue vinyl interior. Rare indeed! Sold new in the Toledo Ohio area and has always remained in the Toledo area. It was ordered without power brakes and without power steering.
The family history dates back to 1968 when this vehicle was purchased from the original owner. Unfortunately, the original owner is unknown. This car was treated to a restoration in 2016 and has seen very little road use since being completed. The engine was rebuilt during the restoration and features a non-original block as indicated by the March 28th casting date. A new clutch , pressure plate and throw out bearing were installed at the time of the restoration. New tires, and 2.5" dual exhaust were also installed along with numerous other items. The chrome and stainless steel trim are all present and appear very nice. The seats were reupholstered. The headliner and carpet are new. The dash pad, glass and door panels remain original and do show signs of age.
This 1966 Dodge Charger is the perfect car for driving and enjoying a true factory 426 Hemi 4 speed at an affordable price!
