Vehicle Description
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1957 Cadillac Series 62
Coupe de Ville. Finished in correct-to-the-trim-tag Mountain Laurel
with an Alpine White hardtop, outside of an Eldorado Brougham or a
Continental Mark II the de Ville was among the most luxurious
American cars of its era. Very well optioned with a 365 cubic inch
V8, three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power
brakes, air conditioning, power windows and power seat.
Paint and body show to a very nice driver standard with excellent
bumpers, chrome, trim and glass. Panels are straight with good
gaps; underside is not highly detailed but neither is it rusty.
Interior presents well in correct two-tone black and pink;
excellent dash, door panels, carpet, headliner and seat upholstery.
Nice steering wheel and gauges with only light patina on the
interior chrome.
The current owner is a busy physician who acquired this car a few
years ago from the estate of a long-term owner of many decades (who
drove it regularly). Although the car starts, runs and drives well
(and it has brand new whitewall radial tires), she has not been
driven much over the last three years and could likely benefit from
a comprehensive service. However, we are not aware of any major
mechanical needs. Engine feels healthy and responsive, transmission
shifts normally through all gears, and all power windows are
working - but the A/C is not blowing cold.
I'm hard pressed to think of any late-1950s American car that
offers more style for less money. This de Ville would make a lovely
addition to any collection. For more information about this pink
