Lately, Porsche purists have been flocking to the 997 Porsche generation and for a good reason. It seems that newer 911s have been put on steroids from the engine size to the overall length and width. While Porsche has been able to offset this size gain but making a faster car, true Porsche enthusiasts prefer the more petite and pure scale of the 997. This 2011 Porsche, being almost ten years old, is no slouch thanks to 435 horsepower via a 3.8-liter engine. This example is in overall excellent condition. Seeing a well cared for 25,000 miles, it is neither too little or too many. It has seen a 25,000, 22,000, 20,000, 18,000, and 17,000 mile service under its current owner. See below for details. In addition to the well-attended servicing, it has seen some tasteful upgrades including; GMG RSR roll bar, Numeric racing billet shifter and shifter cables. GT3 RS 4.0 clutch and flywheel, Guard LSD clutch pack, Porsche 4.0.1 Ring & Pinion, Dundon Motorsports Harmonic Balancer and belt, rear adjustable upper link kit (dog bones) and rear adjustable toe steer kit. The transmission was torn down by Bill Radar Motorsports in Las Vegas in 2017.
Make sure to youtube his name for some neat videos. He installed a Porsche motorsport 4.0 ring and pinion, replaced all the bearings, inspected all of the gears/shafts, and replaced the LSD clutch packs with Guard units. Porsche of Lehi reinstalled the transmission along with a new RS 4.0 clutch & flywheel. If you didn’t know the reason why everyone raves about the GT3 RS it’s because of the better gearing resulting from the ring and pinion. The GT3 RS has a 3.8:1 Ring and Pinion and the GT3 CUP has the 4.0:1 ring and Pinion. This setup is the Motorsports CUP version. It makes the car put down more power in the lower gears plus keeps the car in that “sweet spot” of the power band. Get GT3 RS performance for the price of a GT3! The prior owner had steel rotors on the car, so the ceramic rotors are in great shape. Lyfe Motorsports put them back on the vehicle in 9/2017 because the brake pads on the steels were a little too aggressive for the street/cars and coffee meetups. Lyfe Motorsports checked rotor weight and thickness (around 20k miles), and they were about 90% of new spec. This car has spent most of its time on the highway. This car is well optioned from the factory with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), GT2 Carbon Fiber Bucket Seats, Front Axle Lift, Sport Exhaust, Sport Chrono, Alcantara Steering Wheel and Shifter, Alcantara Storage Lid with Porsche Crest, Alcantara Lower Dash, Alcantara Door Panels, and is being sold with two Keys, and original Manuals.
