There's just something about a BMW that conveys the perfect

timeless favorite. Assembled at BMW's Dingolfing manufacturing
facility, the car's pillarless profile is straight, solid and still
feels inspired even 25 years after its debut. Fit and finish are
the typical high quality stuff you'd expect on a German automaker's
flagship model. Top-option CSi trim adds M-inspired bumpers,
aggressive sills and revised exhaust outlets. And today, this
awesome survivor rolls as a cool modern classic that participated

WORLD BEATING PERFORMANCE
One lift of the hood is all it takes to throw the subtle,
suit-and-tie nature of this BMW's sleek exterior right out the
driver's window. Wedged perfectly between the car's fenders, 5.6
liters of S70B56 V12 turns stout 9.8 to 1 compression into an
impressive 375 horsepower and 406 lb./ft. of smooth torque. Tuned
so much over its 850CS brethren, that it warranted a brand new 'S'
engine code exclusively reserved for BMW's flagship M cars and
would also serve as the foundation for the McLaren F1 S70/2 V12.
That mill employs innovations like a larger bore, lighter pistons,
Bosch Motronic 1.7 fuel injection and a variable rev limiter.
Speaking of revs, power flows through a requisite Getrag Type E
6-speed, which spins a limited-slip differential around friendly,
2.93 gears. That hearty drivetrain rides a factory-spec CSi
suspension that mixes Automatic Stability Control with stiffer
shocks, shorter springs and Motorsport-spec hubs. Speed-sensitive
power steering sports a 15%-reduced ratio, in typical CSi fashion.
Stops are provided by four power-assisted discs, which clamp four
12.8-inch rotors. Spent gases traverse large-diameter exhaust. And
everything rolls on forged M System II "Throwing Star" wheels,
which spin staggered Michelin Pilot Sports.
ALL CONQUERING LUXURY
Pull the BMW Motorsport door handles and you'll find attractive
Nappa leather that complements glowing Yew trim. Heated and
power-operated seats feature three memory settings for the car's
driver. CSi red needle telemetry points at a 180 MPH CSi-spec
speedo and a CSi-spec graduated redline tach. A Motorsport-themed
shifter toggles between 12-speaker audio, dual-zone climate control
and a rocker for the car's Sport and Komfort throttle settings.
Clean carpet flows to Motorsport sills, which found intricate side
panels in front of a duo of tinted power mirrors and a quartet of
quick power windows. And the driver spins a leather-wrapped and
Motorsport-stitched steering wheel around a tilting and telescoping
column.
Exclusive and extremely potent, this slick BMW is a no-compromises
exercise in sophisticated German performance. Even down to the the
M car 'WBS' VIN; the 850CSi is the M8 that was never built and this
