This 1991 AM General M998 was reportedly rebuilt under government
contract in June 2011 at 7,100 miles by VSE Corporation at the Red
River Army Depot in Texarkana, Arkansas. The work is said to have
included a color change to 383 green and installation of a
replacement 6.2-liter diesel V8 as well as a new 200-amp
alternator, 37" tires, hubs, brake lines, wiring, seats, LED
headlights, and more. The truck is equipped with a three-speed
automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case along with
"modification work order" equipment including three-point
seatbelts, a power steering cooler, a relocated parking brake, and
a reinforced crossmember. The coolant was changed in March 2019
along with fluids for the braking system, engine, transmission, and
power steering. The seller states that this Humvee is road legal in
South Dakota, and it is offered at no reserve with an accessory
