Vehicle Description
1967 Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck
Although the C10 most commonly identifies as the half-ton,
short-bed pickup, it came in different styles. The C10 featured a
115-inch wheelbase for the pickup equipped with the 6.5-foot bed
and a 127-inch wheelbase for models with the 8-foot bed. Chevy sold
pickups as a chassis and cab that required buyers to custom fit
their choice of beds. Other styles featured the Fleetside, or flat
panel cargo box, and the Stepside, which had the rear wheels
outside the bed and a step mounted between the cab and wheel wells.
C10 models also included a panel truck and the Suburban sport
utility vehicle.
For consignment a "worker bee" restored, pickup, with some patina,
some dents and dings, and some wear, but hey it's a pickup, and
it's a worker that runs great, and is ready to turn heads, and haul
lumber, or hay, or dirt, or you get the idea! We offer you this 67
C10 in green.
Exterior
A Green respray covers all steel body parts, which are straight,
and showing some working activity has been performed with this
truck, as we note some scratching, and overall patina. A white
bumper upfront, and a diamond plate replacement on the rear, and
displaying some rusting on the corners of this bumper. The simple
grille, and headlight surrounds are also in white and in good
condition. Badging is all correct, and trim and handles, mirrors,
etc. have the beginnings of slight dimpling. A bed has a liner
installed and is in overall good condition. Black wall tires have a
hub capped bowtie logo in red in the center, within a white
field.
Interior
Some customization in the form of two-tone green broadcloth inserts
and vinyl bolstered high back buckets have been installed. These
flank a custom center console-come-jump seat. This is all black
vinyl covered cushions. Looking forward to the dash oak panels have
been inserted into the exterior matching green metal dash. These
panels cover the instrument cluster, aftermarket AM/FM Cassette
radio, and glovebox door. A two-tone headliner in green and black
is hanging tightly above, and rubber protects the floors. Hurst
provides the shifter which protrudes proudly from the center.
Drivetrain
Nicely done under the hood, with a restored engine bay, sitting
within is a shiny 283ci V8 topped with a single 4-barrel Holley
carburetor, and backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Headers,
orange painted block, and matte black valve covers are just a few
of the highlights under the hood. A small area of paint has been
stripped off behind the master cylinder, probably due to a fluid
leak.
Undercarriage
A very slight presence of surface rust is present on areas of the
frame and suspension, but mostly unremarkable. Structurally sound,
and no reason for concern under here. Independent front suspension
and 4 link rear suspension, a 12-bolt rear, drum brakes all around,
and glass pack mufflers, allow the truck's engine to produce some
noise.
Overall, a nicely done project, with patina, use markings, and age
spots (if you will), and custom interior installed, and we are
ready to drive up to the barn and drop off a load of hay WITH some
horses.
