This beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Custom has been fully restored and is loaded with upgrades throughout.  It has the appearance of a Shelby GT350 but has much more to offer then the original.   Although this is a show quality car it was built to drive.  As the VIN number indicates this car was built in Dearborn, MI as a 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback with a 289 2v V8.  It is the product of a complete top to bottom restoration.  The body is very straight with nice gaps.  A Shelby style hood scoop and side scoops were molded into the sheet metal.  It also has a Shelby style front grill and front bumper.  The car sports beautiful red paint which is complemented with silver racing stripes and Shelby GT350 lower stripes.  The real bumper was painted as well.  All of the glass was replaced new and tinted throughout.  The window stainless trim was restored and is brilliant. It has new wipers, door handles, taillight bezels and dual chrome Cobra mirrors.  It also has Cobra emblems on the fenders and billet gas cap along with a GT 350 emblem on the rear panel.  The car sits on new American Racing Shelby Special Edition 17” silver wheels.  The wheels are wrapped with BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires that are 235-40-17 on the front and 235-45-17 on the rear.  The black interior has been completely restored with nice touches throughout.  The dash was painted red to match the exterior.  Some of the new interior items include the headliner, sun visors, rear view mirror, dash, dash hardware, door panels, door sills, shifter, carpet, etc.  Some of the interior custom features include Autometer gauges, Ididit brushed tilt steering column, Lecarra 14” wood steering wheel, Billet Specialties black window cranks and door handles, TMI Pony bucket seats with seats and GT350 carpeted floor mats. It’s equipped with a high end sound system with rear area platform.  The sounds system components include a Pioneer head unit, two Diamond amplifiers, two Diamond kicker panel speakers, two Diamond subwoofers, two Diamond rear speakers and two Diamond rear tweeters.  The trunk compartment was restored and completely carpeted.  The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout.  The engine bay was painted in the correct black finish and looks great.  It retains the original VIN number stamp on the driver’s side inner fender.  It’s dressed with a chrome strut tower brace and fender support bar.   The car is powered by a Blue Print 306 V8 crate engine that was dyno tested with 373HP.  The engine build details and dyno sheets are included.  The engine has aluminum heads, Weiland intake, Quick Fuel 600 CFM carburetor, Cobra valve covers, Cobra air cleaner, custom pulleys, Petronix electronic ignition, Ford Racing wires and RM Specialties wire looms.  The car is powered by a Optima Red and 5.0 HP mini starter.  The engine is cooled by new radiator with a custom cap and electric fan.  The radiator hose has heat shrink clamps and “GT350” stenciled on the front.  The engine breathes through ceramic headers and a fully custom exhaust system with Spin Tech mufflers.  The exhaust exits the rear panel and sounds insane.  The engine is coupled to a new Tremec T5 HD 5-speed manual transmission that shifts very nicely.  It’s equipped with a King Cobra hydraulic clutch which is extremely easy to operate.  The power is transferred to the pavement through the rebuilt POSI rear end with an Aubin Pro Differential and Richmond gears.  The car has a custom TCP power rack and pinion steering unit with aluminum pump.  This is a great power steering system that you don’t see often in first generation Mustangs.  The undercarriage is highly detailed throughout with many upgrades.  The power braking system consists of a black booster, Wilwood four wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors.  It has a Lokar E-brake setup.  The front suspension system consists of TCP upper and lower control arms, sway bar and adjustable coli over shocks.   The rear suspension system consists of a 4-link setup with adjustable coil over shocks.  This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Custom is the total package.  This car has recently been serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice that is included.
