Vehicle Description
With just a little over 4500 miles logged since emerging from a
high-quality build that's left it with an exterior decked out in a
distinctive, stare-inducing shade, this 1954 Ford F-100 is one very
well configured and stylish classic pickup. It's a rock-solid
driver as well, featuring a strong, great sounding motor beneath
its hood and a comfortable interior.
Representing the F-100 line in its expanded, second generation
form, this '54 will stand out even among the most impressive of
classics. It wears olive drab paint that provides a subtle military
feel and is in clean shape - take a closer look and you'll find no
flaws of note, only a nice, consistent gloss and smooth texture.
Roll pans at both ends, as well as running boards and a front
grille color matched to the rest of the exterior add even more
distinction to its appearance and the deletion of that extra chrome
really allows the paint to take center stage. With just the right
amount of offset dialed in, the sizable aftermarket wheels are
perfectly framed in their wells and the stance of this classic is
really sharp -low to the ground, but not in asphalt scraping
territory, with just a slight, tasteful incline. You'll find clear,
unblemished glass on all sides of the cabin, with the compact rear
window surrounded by a fresh rubber seal and the precise alignment
of the doors adds to this Ford's finished appearance.
The interior is nicely configured, with the bench seat at its
center wearing a fresh, well-fitted vinyl cover and an overall
period-correct look that serves as a fine foundation for some
aftermarket comfort and convenience items. The steel surfaces
inside the cabin have been painted to match the exterior, and the
door panels to each side appear to have been recently added. Just
beyond the steering wheel, a contrasting black instrument cluster
harbors an assortment of white-faced Speedhut gauges to keep track
of vital motoring functions, while the added underdash climate
control system makes for comfortable motoring during these warmer
summer months. There's also a phone charging system in place that
will really come in handy. Below the glove box door is an AM/FM/CD
stereo that teams with kick panel-mounted speakers to provide a
strong audio experience. The bed area in back features a diamond
plate floor that's protected by a thick rubber mat and you'll find
a sizable Coca Cola branded cooler on board that adds still another
touch of personality to a truck that already has more than its fair
share of it.
A very nicely detailed 302 cubic inch V8 sits at the center of a
well-maintained engine bay, surrounded by neatly routed wiring and
fresh hoses and wearing a pair of Ford-branded valve covers and a
chrome air cleaner that tie in perfectly with its upgraded pulley
system. The motor is armed with a Weiand intake manifold and
Edelbrock 4-barrel carb to maximize its output and exhales into a
pair of JBA Performance headers that terminate in Flowmaster
mufflers to provide an outstanding exhaust note. The smooth-running
small block teams with a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts
with slip free precision, with a rock-solid 9" Ford rear end on
board to round out the drivetrain. Power steering makes this
vintage Ford easy to navigate, while power brakes - with discs up
front - bring its set of ultra-clean 20" American Racing wheels to
dependable, fade resistant stops.
Offering a strong driving experience that teams with its abundant
curb appeal, this 1954 Ford F-100 presents a great opportunity for
some lucky classic truck enthusiast. Call today!
