Vehicle Description
Outstanding power blended with well-configured vintage looks. Sound
intriguing? Then this 1993 Ford Mustang GT Supercharged should move
to the top of your "must see" list. Outfitted with well-chosen
aftermarket performance upgrades, it's an absolute screamer on the
boulevard and it will rumble into its next owner's garage with
extensive documentation to back up the work and investment that's
gone into its build.
The clean white paint this Fox bodied Pony wears is its original
color and it continues to impress with its strong shine and
well-maintained appearance. Nearly every aspect of the car
unabashedly points to its otherworldly performance and its exterior
is no exception, as it's been equipped with a GT body kit that adds
to its curb appeal while improving its aerodynamics. Unlike so many
of its counterparts that have been in place for any length of time,
this kit is still in top form, showing no cracking or damage from
having been navigated into any immovable obstacles. The cowl hood
is another strong indication that there's some serious power on
board, while smoked headlights and foglights up front and
aftermarket reproduction headlights in back add to this Mustang's
distinctive appearance. Performance-centric modifications to a
Mustang of this era are nothing new, but the overall attention to
visual balance, tasteful aesthetics and precision really set this
build apart.
The burgundy-colored interior remains in its original shape - with
the add-ons needed by the performance upgrades seamlessly blended
in - and is in surprisingly good shape, especially for a car whose
unusual performance capabilities create such a temptation for
inspired driving. Both the cloth front buckets and rear bench seat
are still fresh, showing very little wear as they straddle a clean
center console. Painless Performance control switches seem right at
home in the dash next to the original gauges, which still function
as intended, and the dash pad above shows no cracking at all. A
Pioneer aftermarket stereo fills the cabin with sound via a pair of
door-mounted speakers and additional displays to monitor oil
pressure and operating temperature take their place on the driver's
side pillar.
As great as this classic looks, its performance capabilities are
equally impressive. The 5.0 liter V8 in its engine bay is often
heralded for its ready adaptation to performance upgrades, and that
aptitude has been taken full advantage of here. The powerplant was
bored out for just a little more displacement before being armed
with an outstanding array of top tier components, including a V1
Vortech Supercharger, a pair of Trick Flow heads, a Holley Systemax
intake manifold and a BBK 70mm throttle body. It's now good for a
full 484 horses - a figure that's backed up by a recent dyno
reading - and with Bassani long tube headers and Flowmaster 2
chamber mufflers added to the mix, its exhaust sound has to be
heard in person to be fully appreciated. The professionally
enhanced powerplant teams with a TKO II 5 speed transmission - one
of the only transmissions that can reasonably be expected to handle
such an output without issue - to put full control of all that
unbridled power in the hands of the driver via the Hurst shifter
inside the cabin. A 4:10 rear end rounds out the drivetrain, so you
can only imagine this Pony's off the line explosiveness. Power
steering makes for easy maneuvering in everyday driving situations,
while power brakes that include discs up front bring its set of 15"
Weld Pro Star wheels to a fade resistant halt as needed.
Well-configured and harboring outstanding power, this 1993 Ford
Mustang GT Supercharged promises many fun-filled miles ahead,
whether it's on the asphalt or on the track. Call today!
