This magnificent 1941 Oldsmobile Series 66 Deluxe Convertible is one of only 2,897 built and a wonderful example of a prewar American classic automobile.  This rare car is truly a rolling piece of artwork.  This car has won multiple awards including an AACA National First Prize #W31477 in 2015.  The AACA award medallion is included with the car.  The second generation Oldsmobile Series 60 were produced from 1941-1948.  This car was ahead of its time in design and features.  In 1941, the Series 60 wheelbase was increased to 119 in.  All Series 60’s came with a three-speed column shift manual or the optional advanced four-speed Hydramatic automatic which this car is equipped with.  Prior to a complete frame off restoration this car was very original rust free southern car.  This car was completed in early 2015 and has been driven roughly 3000 miles since completion.  It’s been very reliable during this time.  It retains all the original sheet metal and the body is very straight.  The body was taken to bare metal and finished in the correct Oldsmobile color named Miami Sand.  When the car left the factory it was painted Gray which was boring so it only made sense to change the color during the restoration.  This is a beautiful color and the paint on this car is high show quality.  The removable fender skirts have the rare fender skirt medallions.  It sports a new power convertible canvas top by Bill Hirsch that is black with red piping.  A matching convertible top boot is included.  All of the exterior glass was replaced new.  All the exterior trim was sent out and professionally restored to show quality standards.  The car sits proudly on white wall tires that complement the color very nicely.  The all new Le Baron Bonney Red leather interior is remarkable in every sense of the word.  The interior is very spacious and comfortable.  The wood dash and wood on top of the doors is beautiful and very rich.  All of the upholstery has redone including the sun visors, door panels, seats and carpeting.  It’s equipped with a rare deluxe steering wheel that is stunning in itself.  Everything in the interior such as the gauges, knobs, window cranks, door handles, seat belts, etc has been restored or replaced.  During the restoration the heating system was not setup.   The trunk compartment is nicely detailed with matching upholstery and carpet.  The trunk has a wood shelve for storage and spare tire.  The engine compartment is highly detailed and home to the correct 238 Inline 6 cylinder.  This engine was completely rebuilt and runs beautifully.  The engine compartment has many correct parts throughout.  The engine breathes through a new exhaust system.   The engine is coupled to a four-speed Hydramatic automatic that was also rebuilt and works very smoothly.  This is a desirable option that makes driving a breeze.  During the restoration a complete new cotton wrapped reproduction wiring harness was used.  The undercarriage is very clean and presentable.  During the restoration the bottom side of body was sanded and painted black.  The entire frame was sanded, primed and painted black.  Everything underneath the car such as the gas tank, suspension system and braking system was restored or replaced.  This car is a true masterpiece and is the center of attention wherever it goes.  This car has been recently serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice that is included.
