1968ChevroletCamaro Z28 First of I would like to state this car is
verified by Jerry MacNeish with a certificate of authenticity and
three page break down on the car (see attached pictures). If you
are a Z28 collector then you know how big this is! This car is NOT
a clone! The mileage is believed to be originaland has been kept
VERY well! Is it perfect... no, but it looks SUPER nice and hosts A
LOT of original, RARE parts! This is a beautiful example of how
American Muscle should be! This 68has been one repaint to maintain
itstrimtag correct Butternut Yellow (only 4% of 68s in the National
Registry are this color)and it looks nice! Butternut isa timeless
color that looks GREAT on every generation of Camaro! The paint is
laid outover a SUPER straight body that consists of crisp lines,
believed to be original panels and smooth contours. The doors open
and close as they should to reveal nice panel gaps. The bumpers
BOTH shine nice and so does the trim. The glass is nice and clear
as well! The badges look new and the grill looks great! Headlights
are clear and the same can be said for the tails! The rally wheels
were left in placeand they look great giving the car a NICE
originalstance. The factory ordered and trimtag correct
goldinterior (only 3% of 68s in the National Registry are this
color)is just as clean as the exterior with new, clean carpet. This
color special ordered combo is very unusual and makes it even more
rare.The seats show little to NO signs of stress and look new as
well. The headliner is tight and free of stains. Door panels have
been rewrapped and all hardware works as it should. Under the hood
rests a nicely detailed replacement302 C engine V0522MO, 18N447838,
#3914678 block cast E178 once againoriginal production 302 but not
original to this car. carb (3923289-DZ), 3927186 heads and
Snowflake intake manifold! The firewall has been cleaned up and the
bay has also beenpainted to OEM GM specs. It also hosts the
original 9078 brake booster dated 102 of 1968 and look at the
firewall you will notice the original Muncie speedo hole in the
firewall.The 302 is paired to original 4spd Muncietransmission
(P8D18 ASSM DATE, 3925660 CASE with vin 18N421989 THAT IS OEMTO HE
CAR)and the two components together make this car a BLAST to drive!
It pulls through every gear with ease and shifts as smooth as can
be. It puts the power to the ground with its ORIGINAL 12 bolt rear
end with 4:10 gears(BV0422G1 assm date, casting date K87, #860NF
housing) (only 24% of 68s in the National Registryare geared this
way, 57% were 3:73). With a custom NEW 2.5in exhaust this car
sounds great at idle and even better into the RPMs where these 302s
wake up! This car also hosts its original rear leaf spings (four),
original 3/8 fuel line and clamps intact on rear frame rail,
original E70x15 Goodyear Wide Tread GT spare dated DF wheel
K18-3-20. This car also has new control arm bushings and ball
joints that make for a nice ride! The floors, rockers and trunk are
all ORIGINAL and very solid. The sub frame is in excellent
condition and this car is ready to drive today with NOTHING needed!
